Symposium on Advancing High-Quality Development of A&R

Recently, Agricultural & Rural Studies (A&R, ISSN 2959-9784) has successfully passed Scopus’s rigorous evaluation and been formally indexed—a significant milestone following its recognition as a COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) member and inclusion in the AGRIS database in 2025. This achievement marks a momentous leap in the journal’s global influence, serving not only as an authoritative acknowledgment of A&R’s academic quality and international impact but also as a profound encouragement for us to remain true to our original mission. It is both an honor and a responsibility: inspiring us to refine content quality to higher standards, connect with the global academic network with greater openness, and respond to the needs of the academic community with more pragmatic services.

To further uphold COPE’s publication ethics guidelines, strengthen academic norms under Scopus’s indexing standards, and systematically plan A&R’s future development direction, we are pleased to announce the upcoming Symposium on Advancing High-Quality Development of Agricultural & Rural Studies (A&R). This symposium will bring together experts, scholars, journal professionals, and practitioners from the global agricultural and rural studies community to engage in in-depth discussions on core themes such as “enhancing academic quality,” “expanding international influence,” and “supporting rural revitalization practices.” Together, we aim to build consensus and chart development paths for A&R’s high-quality growth.
