International Academic Symposium on the Transition Development of Modern Rural Areas

To promote innovation in policies and systems for rural revitalization, enhance the theoretical and practical framework for building livable, business-friendly, and beautiful rural areas, and achieve the comprehensive transition of rural development in China, the College of Economics and Management at Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU), with the approval of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, is going to hold the “International Academic Symposium on the Transition Development of Modern Rural Areas (2024)” in Hangzhou, China, on December 11th to 12th. The symposium will be held offline and online.

1. Call for Papers

Main topics (including but not limited to):

  (1) Development of modern agriculture and forestry industries.

  (2) Green and low-carbon agricultural development.

  (3) New rural collective economy.

  (4) Rural governance.

  (5) Construction of livable, business-friendly, and beautiful rural areas.

  (6) Reforms of the rural land system.

  (7) Rural Social security systems.

  (8) Food security.

  (9) Common prosperity of farmers and rural areas.

3. Venue: Lin'an District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

4. Date: December 11th to 12th, 2024.

5. Paper Requirements

  (1) Submitted papers must be unpublished academic articles in English.

  (2) Important dates:

  Submission Deadline: December 1, 2024 (based on the email sent date);

  Paper Selection Notification: Early December 2024, exact dates will be in the official notification.

  Paper structure should include:

    First page: Title, all authors' names, affiliations, titles, and roles. Indicate the corresponding author and contact details (including address, postal code, email, and phone number).

   Second page: Title and abstract (around 300 words summarizing main content, key points, and academic contributions), and keywords in English.

   Main Text.

  (2) Papers should be submitted in Word format via email by the deadline. Authors should keep a copy. Use “International Symposium on the Transition Development of Modern Rural Areas (2024)” as the email subject and name the file as “First Author Name + Paper Title.”

7. Important Notes

  (1) The conference follows a “paper-based attendance” policy; only papers accepted by the preparatory committee will allow attendance.

  (2) The number of participants will be based on the quantity and quality of submitted papers.

  (3) No conference fees will be charged for either in-person or online attendees. The accommodation and travel expenses of the invited experts during the conference are to be covered by the hosts.
