Fast forward to today, studies and work took Dr. Manolis Pagkalos from Athens, Greece (BA Hons. in History and Archaeology), to Leicester, UK (MA in the Classical Mediterranean and PhD in Ancient History along with teaching), Groningen, the Netherlands (Lecturer/Research Fellow in Ancient History), and then to Jiyang College of Zhejiang A&F University, China (Assistant Professor in the Humanities).
Dr. Manolis Pagkalos and Dr. Stefanos Apostolou founded Isegoria Publishing in 2021. Isegoria is an independent, Open-Access digital publisher of learned books and journals in Classical Studies, World Archaeology, and the Humanities based in Nottingham. Founded by two classicists and professional editors, the publishing house aspires to live up to its name and offer a platform for researchers to present their work without costs or any other barrier.
SCC press and Isegoria have a similar mission, vision, and philosophy for academic publication, therefore A&R invites Dr. Manolis Pagkalos to act as Governance and Oversight consultant to guarantee the high quality of the journal. The A&R’s Zhejiang editorial office meets the right person at the right time and place.
